112) Double-spurred Francolin

I see these fairly regularly but have usually failed totally in an attempt to get a photo

This time I got close on a few occasions, always getting the same final view too....disappearing at speed!

The female was lower down the stem of this plant but they were too close to get a shot of them both together.

119)Greater Painted Snipe

A real favourite of mine! The local Birdguide Association went to a huge effort to build a hide in the mangroves with a 50 m or more footpath made of old car tyres so you could get there without walking through the glutinous mud. Incredibly after all that effort the hide is in a state of total disrepair just a few years later. Why I don't know because the Snipe are still there!
