Living so close to the Nature Reserve is beneficial. Although I am not allowed to visit most of the it as it is in the next municipality, and traffic between the municipalities is now not permitted, I still have a nice chunk of nature to wander around, and even before the lockdown, there were only a few others out there.

To avoid encountering others who want to do their daily exercise I have changed my walks to paths less visited. That gave me a new bird.

What a pleasant surprise today! Looked through the window, and there it was, sitting on top of the spruce tree.

Technically, it was through the glass door to the balcony. And after few initial clicks, I have even managed to open the door without spooking the bird.

Have you noticed the deep blue of the sky? It was almost summer time temperature today.

We get a kestrel visit the garden but it's not very often..nice capture and sighting Alex. The weather here is fabulous too. We have been having B-B-Q's most evenings for the last few days, most unusual for April!

BY 2019 I was trying hard to reach 1 bird per day ... and have failed by 3 birds. One not posted was a bird that has been out there each day. So this year better to get it posted now.
