Our local RSPB reserve is still closed but we dropped by last weekend for a particular bird.  There is a public footpath through the reserve from which you can get distant views across one of the lakes.  This bird was on a small island in the lake.

So here we go with my Zambian birds from my recent trip with @michael-ibkto South Luangwa and Kafue.  I was in two minds whether to bother posting them seeing as Michael has already posted much better examples, but as he has only posted the new BY ones for him I do have a few different ones to show.

 

Big confession first though.  I don't have as many as I probably should, and that's because I did give up a bit after a couple of days - I know, I hang my head in shame!

I was getting a bit frustrated at how difficult it was to take pictures from a vehicle, especially with a little camera.  I know that is such a poor excuse but I hate taking rubbish pictures and it didn't feel like I was getting many good ones, however Michael was very encouraging with comments like "go on Angie, those guineafowl are in such good light, you really must take their picture" and so on, and so on .  

 

I will try to make it quick and I apologise in advance for the ones that make your eyes hurt!!
