A good set of additions, also from Majorca! I remember visiting ‘ s Albufera many years ago and being excited at spotting my first Cetti’s Warbler. Now they can be heard ( and occasionally seen) all over our own country, but it’s good to see ‘s Albufera is still a good place to go!

You did really well at S'Albufera - a great reserve. We loved it. Lots of great photos here.

Amazing to see a Stone Curlew there. And it is interesting how the Cetti's are much easier to see than in the UK.

I am not sure your Sardinian Warbler is a Sardinian Warbler. I think they usually have a red eye-ring. Could it be an Orphean Warbler, or even a Lesser Whitethroat?

(As you know I no expert on these matters - or any other matters come to that :))

@TonyQ- like you, my initial gut feeling was also Lesser Whitethroat but ebirds lead me to believe that they're uncommon on the reserve (which feels weird given I see no reason why they wouldn't be there). Orphean Warbler would be a lifer but I'm not sure the eye is right, so I went with Sardinian. I think the eye ring is there but faint.

195. Yellow Wagtail, Elmley NR, July,

I've made a few trips to Elmley this year and they have all been very productive. Definitely the find of my year.

On the day I went to Elmley I also stopped in at Oare Marshes and Dungeness. I didn't get anything new but saw a few interesting sights

Godwits galore

Dave Williams

What's number 200 then?!

The Merlin app suggested Greater Whitethroat, Sardinian Warbler or Spectacled Warbler when I did the photo ID using your photo.Could well be the latter, otherwise I'd lean to the Greater/Common Whitethroat.

Not having such things I rely on the photo and guide book and the bird seems to lack any brown primaries that I would expect to see on both Whitethroats and Spectacled. Ergo my choice is as posted:- Sardinian (juv)

I'm with you there @Galana- I think the eye ring is just super faint

A thank you to all - I feel like I always learn quite a bit from these ID debates
