Samburu Sunset

Photographed at 6:41 pm on 28 April, 2014 in Samburu National Reserve, Kenya, using an EOS 1D X camera and an EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II super-telephoto lens.

ISO 800, 1/125 sec., f/4, 400mm focal length, handheld Manual exposure.

****************************************************************************************************

This is the first sunset I ever experienced in Samburu. It had been an eventful day, with my first-ever leopard sighting.

The evening's quiet approach, with cool air and insect noises, left a powerful impression of Africa's timeless beauty.

Sunrise in the Timbavati last week, can't say I'm really looking forward to the London equivalent tomorrow.

Nights in the Central Kalahari can be very cold in July, our swedish friends were a little surprised and frozen.

Don't forget a good and warm sleeping bag (temperature below zero celsius).
