Lanius schach tricolor -  Kaziranga     03.03.2019

The two sub-species look very different - "tricolor" with  a brown back and a black "Hood" (found in himalayan and north-eastern regions).

"Caniceps" with a grey back and black stipe through eye.

Another set of good birds. Love the Pratincole and the different Long-tailed Shrike photos! Are you sure about #175 ? They look more like Greenshank to me, perhaps.

Anyway, keep them coming.

@PeterHG As I look again, I am not sure about the Little Stint. I am not convinced they are Greenshank, but the photo is so badit is hard to be sure:)

I will change the numbering when I get round to posting some more.

I think I am. Look closely at the fourth from left. Long green legs. I would like to have seen more of an upcurve in the bill but that could be the angle of the shot.
