Ah, finally you are getting into high gear again. Great additions, congrats on getting past 50. 100 cannot be far with that wonderful unpronouncable place available to you again!

Getting back to the Wood Warbler - your second one certainly is. Is that the same individual? I appreciate a photo showing only one specific angle can be misleading but I could have sworn there´s not enough bright yellow in your first (pretty muted) bird. Like you say, a WW is a pretty distinct bird normally.

No, those were two different birds, also photographed at two different locations. To avoid any possible confusion and not to mislead others, I have changed photo at #044.

Škocjanski zatok always deliver, and more so when visited for the first time in the year. Continuing with Zvezda's finds. First with 2 more duplicates. #036 Grey Heron is an immature bird, and #056 Yellow-legged Gull should be photographed near the sea.

Škocjanski zatok has 2 areas: "bonifika" is marshland/grassy area with parts of it flooded, and plenty of (common) reed, a perfect habitat for herons, ducks and warblers. Second part is a seawater lagoon where waders are the dominant species.

Below is locally known as a superb singer, and boy did she/he proved its reputation by singing on top of a tall (dead) tree. Must be the welcome performance for Zvezda.

Nice pair of Little Ringed Plover clearly showing the yellow eye-ring.

The Nightingale looks to be singing his little heart out. What was it you were saying about friendly southern birds?

Twelve birds on one day! Not bad, however, this is what one photographer got. As we have worked as a Semi-symphonic Duo (one never knows when the COVID rules will change back to worse), here are birds taken on the counter-clockwise route (Zvezda did the clockwise route).
