I think your Mistle Thrush is a Song Thrush Alex.

I see you have the same freedoms as we do in Wales!! Ours are due to be reviewed on Friday but I'm not holding my breath for any big changes.

Dear fellow birders, thanks for your kind words. My hibernation actually starts today, no photography for next 4-6 weeks, as my right hand carpal tunnel needed some cleaning. At least the timing is spot on, with third wave starting in Slovenia, and with lockdown extended till mid April.

I had my Carpal tunnel on my right hand done a good few years ago. Really weird being wide awake and strapped down on the operating table with all the usual drama you see on the TV announcing what they were doing as they went along. I had asked the nurse to turn the music up but immediately the surgeon arrived he told them to turn it off.Anyway when they finished and unstrapped me and before I was wheeled away I sat up and thanked everyone for their time and care. I got some strange looks from everyone, I guess not many post operative patients do that!

Good luck with yours Alex...strangely a few weeks ago I started with new symptoms in the same hand and I wondered if it was related. Feels like the joints on two fingers have swollen and they are both painful. Shutter finger is OK though so all isn't lost!!

I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery, Alex! At the moment Jeannette is also walking about with a brace around her wrist. No tennis for her for the next month or so.

Best wishes for a quick successful, painless rehab. Surely Zvedza will still be snapping away under your direction? Bummer about the extended lockdown.
