Unfortunately it was time to say Good Bye to Byron now. Make sure to contact him when you head to Ecuador, he´s a fantastic guide.

Wild Sumaco, 18/8/2022. Flowerpiercer Nr. 6 for this trip. Less dependent on nectar than other Flowerpiercers, more after insects. Hopped by during my lunch break on the terrace.

And I did compare the given Ids with the book/app. So I hope the IDs should be correct.

I didn’t really doubt you for one second. You did an admirable job on the ID’s and I am amazed at the diversity and sheer number of species you are showing us.

Congrats on the 900 milestone and again with a beauty!

there's still 2.5 more months to go to hit that four-digit record, and that record will be burned into stone because you've left us coughing into your dust trail forever.

Pse take it that I liked every photo - i didn't fancy risking RSI from bird no 800!

But those owls!! awesome. and your 900th - spectacular.

What´s RSI? Sounds dangerous. :D

Repetitive Strain Injury which always happens to either my fingers or wrists since I type intensively 5 days a week and neglect to work in an "ergonomic" desk manner. :(

Oh, sorry to hear, I certainly don´t want you to have that. I sympathise, always battling with typewriter´s cramp myself, but more from playing the piano.

Risky Species Identification? ;)  @PeterHGknows all about that.

Many congratulations on the epic 9th Century. Well deserved for all the hard work expended.

Michael, this is an epic BY do you think you will get over 1K?

I am very impressed by the colourful Ecuador birds posing on the mossy branches that you captured so well.
