Wonderful birds indeed, the Broadbill look almost unreal. Love the Red-bearded Bee-eater as well.

ahhh broadbills - one of my favourite species. did you know that the long-tailed broadbill's  nickname is Elvis? the reason is pretty clear. :D

 

the red-bearded bee-eater is gorgeous - and one that still eludes me all these years.

Lovely collection of birds from Thailand so far.  I was about to say how beautiful the Banded Broadbill was and then the Long-tailed pops up - lovely birds!

Bird #100 for the BY 2023 is one of the cutest birds-of-prey encountered so far! Our guide at Doi Inthanon was adamant to show us one, and he found not one but two for us. The light was not good but the bird deserves more than one photo.
