Interesting, all familiar birds from Europe. What's the point of going to the other end of Eurasia if only the same old muddying stuff is waiting there for you? :P;)

With 279 birds photographed, and a few more either seen or heard, the birding trip to Thailand proves to be a very succesful one. Although we have had 23 days, we have not seen all the important birding locations on the north, and none of the south, so a return visit is guaranteed.

Below birds might count somewhere else, in Thailand they are pets (and "on vacation").

It’s an impressive count for a single trip, did you hire guides for mosti locations? And it was always a birding trip or you did other things as well?

We have a paid guide for 3 days (Khao Yai, Doi Inthanon and Kaeng Krachan) and a friend at Tat Mok. Other days it was only us; we did have quite good info about birding locations. It was not a birding trip as such but we did planed its itinerary to follow the birding locations. I will (eventually) post a trip report.
