The partridges got me this one as well, as it landed as I was getting my seat belt back on.

You have them in your garden? Excellent photos!

Most days, well usually at night. Sometimes they are around in the daytime, but they are very skittish and so no chance for a photo. I have a browse line in my shrubs....

A good day out despite the floods. A special award for the Long-tailed Tit in flight. Hard enough to get the blighters sitting still.

After a refuelling stop at home, as the sun was still out, I thought I'd go and see if there was anything on the proximal part of the Ouse Washes. Plenty of water, but only the odd duck, so I stopped by Ouse Fen en route home (where I saw the SE owl).

As I have never managed a decent photo of this species, I thought I'd post it now rather than filing it in the EBC folder...

I paid my first visit of the year to Grafham water last week. The water levels are better, but still low, such that three of the hides are too far away at present. Still, it was a nice, if very blustery walk and I did see a few things for the first time this year.

Not a great shot, but at least it means I don't need to revert to the feeders in December....
