I am somehow glad to see that among all those really stunning birds, there are also a fee more ordinary-looking birds in South America!

Beautiful shots.

A great collection Tony, you did very well with your birds and photos. Many of these are quite similar to the Andean species I picked up in Ecuador, a lot of close cousins apparently. :)

@PeterHGthank you

@Zim Girlthank you. We had not heard of most of them. Even the families are very unfamiliar, and we found the names difficult to remember - can't tell our Cinclodes from a Canastero:D

@Peter Connanthank you

@michael-ibkthank you - it is good to see the cousins of ones you posted!

We really enjoyed seeing this bird, and hearing different individuals calling to each other across the valley.

I have to confess that if and when I get to South America for the birds, I'm going to have the most difficult time speaking and remembering all those unpronounceable names.

@xelas@Peter Connan@Kitsafari@PeterHG@michael-ibk@Soukous thank you

For the next ones we had headed towards the coast. Unfortunately it was a wet, grey day - so good birds but not great photos!
