We loved seeing the Albatrosses, and the Pelagic was very enjoyable.

Here are the last few birds from on the Ocean

There are 3 Petrels that are quite similar looking from a moving boat

Named Grey or Red depending on where in the world it is in Red breeding colours.

It was interesting to see one out in the Pacific Ocean when the one we saw in the UK was in a city park pond!

That is the last of the birds from the Pelagic (a couple of distant terns and gulls were seen better elsewhere). Very productive and very enjoyable.

The next few are from our return to shore before we went back to Santiago

You should post more birds photographed by MrsQ :o. The White-moustached Tern should be among Top 10 from Chile.

Wow! a super collection to end your year.

For a reason I cannot explain I initially thought #429 had been listed as Neurotic Cormorant and was trying to think why it would have such a name. Luckily my eyesight improved. :blink:

Very impressive tally. I'm very envious of the pelagic trip. I'm desperate to do one somewhere, anywhere, it's just being in the right place and getting there!

@Zim Girl@pedro maia@Peter Connan@Kitsafari@BRACQUENEthank you

@PeterHG@Galana @xelasthank you - MrsQ  @Thursday's Childwill read your compliments!

@Soukouswith all the discussion of renaming birds, perhaps you could put forward the neurotic cormorant as a suggestion :D

@Dave Williamsthank you - it is only the second Pelagic we have been on but was by far the best. I am sure you can find a closer one!

Onwards to work finish off 2023

C.108 House Sparrow  Passer domesticus

Already counted in UK - but nice to see a familiar bird!
