They were compared to Paddle Steamers because of the way they move through the water. There is also a flightless version, but unfortunately we didn't see that one.

I struggled to photograph these. They are also very similar to the next bird. Thes have black/dark blue at the base of the tail

KIndly sitting outside a restaurant!. This swallow is also blue and white (but not Blue-and-White) and often flies around with the one above. This one has white at the base of the tail/rump. Difficult to tell apart when flying high overhead.
