Interesting to see how much the water has dried up since September Sharon.

Sorry, yes and congratulations on your century. More birds in the summer than we got in the spring.

There are a couple more (or possibly repeats) that we saw in Amboseli National Park proper but I am unsure of the ID.  Can anyone ID these LBB's for me please?

No 3 looks like Sabota Lark to me but I'm hopeless on Larks and Pipits

Isn't No 4 a Curlew Sandpiper? They confuse me too!

Grassland is also known as African Pipit and that adds to my confusion!!!

I think 4 is indeed a Curlew Sandpiper and 3 a Sabota Lark 2 might be a long-billed pipit and the first one is a Double-banded courser

Hmmm.

Well Double-banded Courser stack up and who knows with those darn grassland, grassveldt/african pipits? Hercules's Long -billed maybe a good but we need to see the front.

All those who said Sobota Lark go back at least one place and abut 500km.  I would suggest Rufous-naped with Fawn-coloured as valid too.

Curlew Sandpiper of course. No contest.

And you can't blame Merlin for this....:P

Why would they call a bird with a bright golden crown Grey-crowned?
