I love your Red-capped Cardinal! Apparently rather common on your side, but I didn’t see it. Also some great antbirds and antthrushes: such difficult species to find and photograph.

Some really cool species Michael, I particularly like the antbirds and similar species but I suffered when trying to photograph those kind of birds in Brasil.

Thanks everybody. Peter, the Cardinals were only common along the river, more on less every time we were in teh boat.

And yes, those Antbirds are real bastard birds, quite a challenge.

Atta Lodge. Super-cool Vulture, very high up on my target list. I just wish it would have been as close as all the Black Vultures.

Atta Lodge. I knew I had to see this one when I was stuying the birds of the Guyanas before the trip. And was delighted our guide could find it. Such an odd - and cool - look.

88/G88) Purple-Throated Fruitcrow (Querula purpurata) / Purpurbrustkotinga

Atta Lodge. A nice bird (I´ve already seen in Ecuador) but still a disappointing one because I was much more after the Crimson Fruitcrow, one of Atta´s top birds. Unfortunately missed that one.
