I love your leopard photos. I'm visiting Ruaha National Park, and staying at Kwihala for 5 days, and walking with Moli and Noelle at Kichaka.

I will be taking photography lessons right here in Nairobi. I bought a simple bridge camera because it was recommended to me here on Safaritalk: a Lumix. I bought the user's guide as well. I'm determined to take photos, and write a full trip report as well. I'm doing it for my own enjoyment. I appreciate your very kind consideration.

I send you my warmest regards, because this site has literally changed my life. I owe it all to Stokeygirl who recommended it to me in the first place.

I fell in love with this pregnant leopard we followed for about an hour; she could not get comfortable; lost her kill she carried up the tree and was TRULY EXASPERATED!

(these are straight from the camera; REAL photogs hate that, but I'm fake...Safari Barbie)

Some additions for the thread. All taken within 20 minutes at Sabi Sands in July 2013 with a Nikon D100 and 55-200 (I think). The first four are a sequence of that male laying in the grass next to the sand river, then moving to the tree and climbing it to the kill. It wasn't his, a female had made it the night before and been chased off. The last picture is of the other male that was at the kill. The two of them sat in the grass on either side of the river for about 20 minutes very quietly growling at one another before the fellow in the bottom photo moved off and the guy in the top few climbed the tree.

@@anthracosaur love the shot of the leopard in the tree with the kill - it's interesting how you see both their faces and eyes, the predator and the prey. @@PauloT your young female in post #242 from Mbagi Forest in Ruaha National Park is gorgeous!

@SafariChick Thanks. I really like that one too, there is something very primal about the leopard's eyes as it eats.

@@KafueTyrone thanks so much for posting those leopard pics. I plan to be with you and @@Sangeeta next year in November in Kafue and hope I will get to see leopards there - I think they have become my favorite cat!

@@Towlersonsafari that's a beautiful young male - you can see it still has growing to do as its paws seem so big for its body!

Couple more from my July trip to Kruger, both from Sabi Sands. I'll just say that I'm amazed by everybody's photos and pretty humbled by the photographic skill on this forum.

This handsome boy had just finished marking that bush and proceeded to walk all the way around our vehicle before having a bit of a lie down in the grass.

My first leopard, Tigana, who no longer appears on the Elephant Plains webpage, so I fear something has happened to him. This makes me immensely sad because we saw him more than any other leopard on our trip. He is the fellow in the tree with the impala in my previous post in here.
