@@michael-ibk She came to rest right next to our vehicle, so I had to shoot from above. Most chilled out leopard I've ever come across :)

"This small female leopard and her nearly grown cub traveled up and down the Auob Valley together for over a week one summer. They provided a great source of entertainment as they took turns hiding and springing playful attacks on one another. The cub stalked everything that moved, from ground squirrels to giraffes. She even set her sights on a tawny eagle perched high up in a tree. Unfortunately the branches were far too slender to support her, and the hapless cub tumbled some distance to the ground. I finally caught them on camera one morning, looking rather sheepish, or so I thought."--excerpt from my book, Kalahari Summer in photographs and oils, published by Random House Struik in Cape Town, Sept. 2013.

@@quannah great leopard pic, I'm still leopard-less in KTP after 9 repeat visits...hoping to get lucky in December as we're visiting the hotspots (Urikaruus, Grootkolk, Kieliekrankie) as opposed to main camps this time.

A beautiful male from the Sabi Sands called "Kashane Male" by the guides working there.

I wish I had better pics of him, but he moved into a drainage line after this was taken, and it was already past sunset.
