232) Scaly-naped (red-necked) pigeon

 

Unfornately we did not see common ground dove or more disappointingly bridled-quail doves, as they look like a very cool bird!

This was on our first morning whilst having coffee on our pation, so we assumed that there would be plenty more opportunities, but this turned out to be the best one...(BIF courtesy of the OH)

Wow, British Virgin Isles, I must have missed that you were going there! (I had to look them up :D)

The flamingos are an amazing colour. I really like the American Kestrel.

A relatively short hop from Philadelphia (at least that's how I sold it to the OH!) where we went to a conference. 3.5 hours to Puerto Rico, then a Cessna for 35-40 mins, then a 5 min boat ride....

thanks @Dave Williams and @Peter Connan I have been chasing flamingos for my past three trips! So was very pleased, especially as when they decided to come close to the path, the sun happened to be out (you can see from some of the other shots that there was lots of cloud...)
