Ah well erm... I thought that was clear; of course you were right! It is a red fronted barbet!

 

Predator; close! (there are not that many woodpeckers with red on th chin...) But the golden-tailed is more greenish/yellowish on the back and has cheecks that are more white.

Von der Decken Hornbill (male)

 

 

I'm sure many of you are familiar with these hornbills, but just out of interest, here is what the female Von der Decken looks like:

At risk of being told off by Jochen for not waiting for him to confirm whether I'm right or wrong with my hornbill answer , I'm going to post a new bird to keep this game going....to spice things up a bit, I'm only showing part of the adult bird (otherwise you'd all get it in one...which you may well do anyway!) Here goes...

But you're very close.....it is a Plover, but not a Blacksmith.......

Its nt the white fronted, and My first guess was the pied, but I edited that out. I will go with pied again then I give up.
