This was classed as a sub-species of the Striated Swallow but is now generally (and certainly by me!) seen as a species in its own right.

This was another of my favourite birds from the trip. Not as colourful as some, I thought it was very pretty. It also sat out in the open quite close to us which is a very appealing feature:)

@Galana @Peter Connan @PeterHG @michael-ibk @Dave Williams thank you

@xelas it may well be a LBJ

@Kitsafari thank you. As you know it was your trip report and your contributions to the BIg Year that made us want to go to Malaysia. I particularly wanted to see the Mesia after seeing your photos!

Careful. That photo of the male would almost get you admitted to the EBC club as a qualifier.^_^

Nice photos!

More super additions @TonyQ, Up until about a month ago I would not have been concerned about you surging past me, but now the chances of catching up look slim ( & slimmer by the day) :(

Love the Spidercatcher.

The Spidercatcher reminded me of the thrill when I saw my one and only in Thailand a few years ago. The Treeswift is a stunning bird too.
