@shazdwn thank you

@pedro maia  thank you. I won’t reach 200 with Malaysia birds. Depending how the year develops, I may or may not manage it. But I will enjoy watching what comes to the garden:)

We had just left our hotel with Wendy (our guide) when she spotted these. You can see 3 of them in the second photo, but there were actually 5 of them on the tree.

Again, a familiar bird from home. This one, at the side of a road, was the only one we saw in Malaysia.

Dave Williams

Closing in on me fast now Tony. Some lovely birds  seen and photographed.

Must admit, I'll be surprised if our trip to SA goes ahead in September to be honest.

@Dave Williams thank you - the totals don’t seem to matter much at the moment, I feel.

Shame about SA, but you did get to Sri Lanka and gave us some beautiful birds

wow so lucky to see not one but 5 great slaty woodpeckers! they are now extinct in singapore although once in a while one appears in between many years, and the thinking is that it flies in from Johor or that a handful are still around but not seen. we had no luck in Langkawi.

@Kitsafari  as we are so ignorant, we had little idea of which birds were rare/difficult to see and which are very common:)

@Zim Girl thank you
