371) Yellow Weaver

I'm open for a challenge on the ID of this one.

Not from me! It's good. "The Eyes have it!"

Much the same with your scruffy Village Weaver.

A nice few additions as your luck continues. I too appreciate the sheer serendipity of some sightings such a Secretary bird. Like busses, you wait for ages then three come along at once.

Looking at the sash guide the female Cape Weaver has a red eye too it seems Fred. That's why I wasn't too sure. My thoughts were Village though. Both are possible were I saw it though.

Female Cape Weaver has 'brown eye' and the bill is horn coloured not black in my book. (Years out of print so no doubt been split and re-lumped many times already :o)

Anyhoo. Your scruffy male Village Weaver is clearly showing the vestiges of his breeding black mask and his ID without a shadow of a doubt.

I think you are correct ! Tawny is more likely in early August in KNP.

389)Trumpeter Hornbill

The bedroom window of the owners of our guest house in Malelane. Thankfully not our room that they visit every morning! The noise they make is weird, then they tap on the window...amongst other things!
